Interoperability & Compliance

This page is the single landing point for iGrant.io's contributions to the European Digital Identity ecosystem: the consortia and standards bodies we contribute to, the plugfests and test beds we have cleared, and the public catalogues that list our deployments. For demos, trial videos and write-ups of each project, see EUDI Wallet Pilots & Deployments.

Ecosystem engagements and recognitions

ETSI Signature Plugtests logo
ETSI Signature PlugtestsPlugtests contributor
iGrant.io takes part in the ETSI Signature Plugtests, the official interoperability events run by the ETSI Centre for Testing and Interoperability for Electronic Attestation of Attributes. The Organisation Wallet Suite is exercised against ETSI TS 119 472-1 "Profiles for Electronic Attestations of Attributes, Part 1: General requirements", the canonical EAA profile under eIDAS 2.0 covering issuance, presentation and verification of SD-JWT VC, ISO 18013-7 mdoc and W3C VC (JWT) over OpenID4VCI and OpenID4VP. Multi vendor cross testing at the Plugtests confirms conformance with the wallet, issuer and verifier profiles required by the EUDI Wallet ecosystem.
UNFOLD #3 Remote Excellence Award logo
iGrant.io won the Interop Award for Remote Excellence at the EUDIW UNFOLD Interoperability Week, recognising the highest success rate in remote issuance and verification flows within the EUDI Wallet ecosystem. The award highlights the strength of the Organisation Wallet Suite in delivering standards compliant, interoperable digital identity solutions.

Ready for France IdentitéInteroperability Tests - Passed
iGrant.io is ready for France Identité, following rigorous testing with the Organisation Wallet Suite and validation of real world EUDI Wallet scenarios across issuance, presentation, and verification flows at UNFOLD #2.2 Interoperability Week, Paris. The event brought together 60+ organisations from 20+ countries to collaboratively test interoperability across both remote and proximity use cases.

The iGrant.io Open Bank Account relying party is published in the FIDES Relying Party catalogue. It demonstrates privacy preserving KYC for financial onboarding using SD-JWT VC over OpenID4VP, conformant with the EWC v3 interoperability profile and accepting PID credentials from the EUDI Wallet ecosystem. WE BUILD Consortium logo
WE BUILD ConsortiumEUDI Wallet SWEuropean Business Wallet SW
iGrant.io is a Wallet Software Provider in the WE BUILD consortium for both EUDI Wallets and European Business Wallets, contributing to the Architecture, Interoperability Tests, and Conformance Spec Authoring workpackages. Use cases supported span European Business Owner ID issuance, all card and account based payment flows, document signing, and Qualified EAA issuance. The Organisation Wallet Suite is listed as the first conformant business wallet in the WE BUILD Conformance Overview.
EU Digital Identity Wallet Consortium (EWC) logo
EU Digital Identity Wallet Consortium (EWC)Ecosystem leadFirst EUDI payments in production
iGrant.io leads ecosystem development in the EWC consortium and introduced the concept of EWC RFCs, a scalable approach to bootstrapping a multi vendor EUDI Wallet ecosystem. The Organisation Wallet Suite was conformant with all EWC use cases, was validated through the EWC Interoperability Test Bed (ITB), and was the most widely used wallet stack across the consortium. During EWC, the suite was integrated into banking and payment systems in production at Banca Transilvania (Romania) and Fast Ferries (Greece), enabling Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) over Visa and Worldline payment rails. These were the first live production trials of EUDI Wallets with issuers and verifiers integrated to real payments. Read the full story.
OpenID Foundation logo
OpenID FoundationEarly conformanceStandards validation
iGrant.io was one of the first implementations to clear the OpenID4VC conformance suite run by the OpenID Foundation, covering OpenID4VCI and OpenID4VP. We retest with each new release to keep the Organisation Wallet Suite aligned to the latest published profiles, and contribute validation feedback during specification drafting so issues are caught before standards are finalised.

Implementing Acts compliance

The Organisation Wallet Suite is built to comply with the Implementing Acts under Regulation (EU) 2024/1183 (eIDAS 2.0). For details on individual Implementing Acts, see the eIDAS and EU Regulations section.

Standards contributions

iGrant.io actively contributes to the standards that underpin the EUDI Wallet ecosystem:

  • OpenID Foundation: implementation feedback on OpenID4VCI and OpenID4VP specifications
  • W3C: contributions to Verifiable Credentials standards
  • ETSI: alignment with trust service standards (ETSI TS 119 612) and Electronic Attestation of Attributes specifications (ETSI TS 119 472-1)
  • EWC RFCs: co-authorship of consortium specifications
  • Open source: Decentralised Data Exchange project
