CRANE Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP)

Completed: March 2026

iGrant.io served as consortium lead for this three-year pre-commercial procurement initiative, partnering with two other organisations to build cross-border health data infrastructure. The CRANE PCP project aimed to break down data silos in healthcare by creating a self-managed, cross-border health data space. The infrastructure was piloted in Spain, Norway, and Sweden.

iGrant.io contributed consent management systems, wallet SDKs, and the underlying infrastructure for a health data marketplace, enabling patients to manage and share their health data across borders using digital wallets aligned with the European Health Data Space (EHDS). Delivered use cases included remote patient monitoring and consent-based data exchange under the EHDS framework.

Completed: April 2024

iGrant.io, together with Redpill Linpro (Sweden), delivered the Consent Building Block (BB) under an ITU contract to provide a consent management solution in accordance with GovStack specifications.

The Consent BB empowers individuals to approve the use of their personal data through a comprehensive framework encompassing laws, norms, and principles; system architectures; and standards, covering all lawful bases for processing to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

The resulting solution is recognised as a Digital Public Good (DPG), with its consent management microservice aligned with ISO 27560 and GovStack specifications, integrating seamlessly into both Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 digital identity wallet workflows. The software has been deployed in the GovStack Sandbox, and iGrant.io is named as a primary author of the Consent BB specification.

European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI)

Completed: 2024

iGrant.io was among the first wallet providers in Europe to achieve conformance with EBSI and the first to support both versions of the infrastructure, extending trust anchor support to encompass the European public sector blockchain.

The iGrant.io Data Wallet is listed as an EBSI-conformant wallet by the European Commission and was demonstrated live at the EBSI Experience Centre, the European Commission's first public Web3 lab in the heart of Brussels, showcasing real-world cross-border use cases, including social security credentials (ESSPASS/PDA1), student diplomas, and labour cards anchored to the EBSI trust infrastructure.

The wallet supports EBSI as a ledger-based trust registry alongside the EU Trust List and other European trust anchors, with iGrant.io demonstrating production-ready interoperability across EU public-sector ecosystems and direct recognition by the European Commission.
